3 Cool Things: Season of Tend kicked off in Portland, Community Engagement Survey launched, & James Hoagland joins the team!

Happy Pride Month! As we celebrate the vibrant diversity of our community this June, we are thrilled to share some exciting updates from last month. From the kickoff of our Season of Tend to the launch of our Community Engagement Survey and welcoming a new team member, there’s a lot to celebrate! Here are three cool things from May we’re excited to share with you:

Our Season of Tend kicked off in Portland! We kicked off Pride Month and our Season of Tend with a spectacular event in Portland! We had an incredible evening filled with joy, connection, and celebration. Special thanks to everyone who joined and made the night unforgettable. The energy and support from our community were truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to continue this journey with our upcoming events in Seattle and Anchorage!

We launched our Community Engagement survey! We’ve officially launched our 2024 Community Engagement Survey! This survey is intended for us to better understand the needs of our community and learn how we can serve you more effectively. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping our programs, communication, and advocacy efforts. If you haven’t already, please take a moment to share your thoughts with us! The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and is mostly multiple-choice.

James Hoagland joins the team! We’re excited to welcome James Hoagland as the newest member of the Pride Foundation team! James brings a deep commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy and wealth of experience and spanning over 25 years to our Community Engagement department. His passion and expertise will be instrumental in advancing our mission and supporting our community. Join us in giving James a warm welcome and read his full bio!

As we celebrate Pride Month, we’re reminded of the strength and resilience of our community and thank you for being a part of our journey. Whether you join us at an upcoming Tend event, participate in our survey, or consider making a donation, your continued support helps us continue our vital work.

With gratitude,

Jamila Taylor
